Corpus Christi – Gregg Deeb announced his endorsement of Michael Cloud, who is running for Congress in the 27th Congressional District of Texas.
Deeb, a 20-year combat veteran, retired from the Marine Corps as a Lt. Colonel. Since then, he has worked as a business consultant in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 2016, he ran for Congress in the 27th Congressional District, winning 44 percent of the vote in the Republican primary and mounting the most competitive challenge to an incumbent in the state of Texas.
“Michael Cloud is a principled Christian who has tirelessly worked to understand the concerns of people in this district at the grassroots level,” said Deeb. “I will be actively supporting him in the upcoming Republican primary for Congress.”
Deeb describes himself as a constitutionalist and a conservative.
“Our district deserves a representative with unquestionable integrity who will be a positive reflection of our great community,” Deeb added. “I ask that you prayerfully consider supporting Michael Cloud in the 2018 elections.”
“I am honored to have the support of a man who truly knows what it means to serve his country,” said Cloud. “I am looking forward to continuing to work with Gregg to preserve the freedom and prosperity we enjoy as Americans.”
Cloud currently represents 21 counties as a member of the State Republican Executive Committee. Previously, he was elected to four terms as chair of the Victoria County Republican Party. Cloud is the owner of Bright Idea Media and has served on staff at Faith Family Church in Victoria, Texas. Cloud and his wife Rosel have three children.
Cloud announced his candidacy in September 2017. “My message is the same now as it has been for several months: Our district deserves a congressman who reflects our values, stands up for conservative principles, and will serve with integrity,” said Cloud
